A disease is defined as a disorder that negatively influences a system causing distress to the afflicted. The potential for movement and motion in the concept of disease/infection inspired me to approach it with a twist; attempting to make it beautiful and serene. The spreading flowers are a visual substitute to an infection, giving it connotations to growth and nature - rather than something destructive.
The project was an opportunity to explore the Forester Plugin for Cinema 4D and grow my understanding of using Octane Render. Though my initial goal was to create the piece in SideFx Houdini to further my knowledge of the software, the simplicity of the motion and the concept made it possible to create easily in Cinema 4D using these plugins.
